It's not every day that one of our favourite watch brands launches a female collection capable of beating the elements.

Normally when you conjure up an image of a tough watch, it's of a chunky design who's femininity and everyday wear-ability is often questionable. This is not the case with an Elliot Brown Kimmeridge watch.

"This was possibly the most sensitively designed collection we have ever made” comments Alex Brown, co-founder. “Being based on the edge of Poole Harbour provides us with a natural playground but also gives us access to many women with a passion for watersports and an outdoor lifestyle. We were able to hone the designs over 18 months to ensure the case and dial designs were timelessly elegant but without dumbing down any of the shock and waterproofing features our watches are renowned for."

The Kimmeridge collection features a Swiss movement held inside a shock absorbing housing, triple sealed crowns that remain closed even when the crown is pulled out, bolted down case back, interchangeable strapping held in place with solid steel strap bars and toughened, anti reflective glass all concealed inside beautifully curated polished and brushed marine grade stainless cases.

Clipper Race 17/18

As the skippers and crews of the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race battle their way around the globe, their Elliot Brown special edition Broadstone watches shrug off the very worst mother nature has to throw at them. Elliot Brown became the timing partner for the race in 2015 and are very much seen as the natural watch choice for endurance athletes and arduous events.

The Broadstone Adventurer was designed with unique feedback provided by crews from the 15-16 edition of the Elliot Brown sponsored Clipper Race. A host of new features debut on this model including a UTC 24h hand that keeps the time at home while the racers operate in the international UTC time.

The deeply recessed crowns help prevent catching on rigging as sailors regularly get washed down the deck by huge waves and their triple seals and durable rubber straps ensure their time keeping remains unaffected by the elements. This gorgeous 43mm watch has a typical “Elliot Brown” detail on the dial with red and green hour markers that are a subtle nautical 'nod' to the port and starboard channel markers sailors observe when they reach the safety of port. It's one of those “if you know, you know' kind of details that we love so much about Elliot Brown.

The case back is generously engraved with the Clipper Race insignia and each one individually numbered. The watch is limited to 1000 pieces worldwide and comes with a second unique canvas deployant strap designed to fade like a pair of jeans and develop a character and story all of it's own as it weathers.
