Seiko Watches - Kinetics
The ‘Kinetic' by Seiko Watches is the first quartz watch powered by human movement. This was such a significant advancement amongst the watch world that it led to the application of more than 50 patents. With the Kinetic, an oscillating weight is rotated by the movement of the wrist. This movement is then transformed into a magnetic charge (into electricity) which is stored in a tiny capacitor or a rechargeable battery. Seiko Watches provide a power reserve indicator that revealsexactly the amount of energy created.
The ‘Kinetic Perpetual' By Seiko Watches
The ‘Kinetic Perpetual' by Seiko Watches combines the benefit of a classic mechanical perpetual calendar (correct until February 28, 2100) with the advantage of Kinetic. Kinetic needsno battery change, provides perpetual quartz accuracy, and gives up to 4 years autonomy when not worn.
Seiko Watches ‘Kinetic Perpetual' is a huge achievement amongst classical watch-making and modern microelectronics. These Seiko Watches have 232 parts (almost identical to those of other high-class mechanical chronograph watches) and the world's smallest ultra-sonic motor (at just 0.4 mm thick). The calibre of the Seiko Watches ‘Kinetic Perpetual' resets a new standard in perpetual calendar watches.
The ultra-sonic motor is the only motive energy for the 101 parts in the mechanical gear trains of the perpetual calendar which correctly displays the date, day, and even months (including February in a leap year). This extraordinary calendar is also checked by a photo sensor. This in built sensor by Seiko Watches recognises a certain mark on each gear and then judges, and corrects, the date, day, month and year (including February in a leap year).
This high quality product from Seiko Watches also incorporates an exclusive kinetic auto-relay technology. No battery change is ever required, and yet Kinetic Perpetual offers quartz accuracy and reliability. With Auto-Relay, the watch will, when not worn for 24 hours, go into "sleep" mode for up to four years. The accuracy remains and the calendar continues to show the correct date, month and year, but the hands stop, conserving energy, until, once the watch is put on again, the hands automatically reset to the correct time.
