The end of the year often brings a large number of industry award ceremonies. Amongst the company’s celebrating success this year are timepiece manufacturer Technomarine watches.

The Geneva based brand, founded in 1997 by French entrepreneur Franck Dubarry claimed the Montres Passion award for Best Watchmaking Advertising Campaign for it’s recent series of adverts.

The campaign was launched earlier this year at the Baselworld watch manufacturing exhibition. It plays on the marine theme of the watches by showing the watches being warn across the eye in the manner of a pirate eye patch. The series of adverts was produced for the company by Paris based advertising agency TBWABeing.

The series of portrait like images were seen by the judging committee as “remarkable and authentic, fun and sincere, unexpected yet obvious and beautiful and special.” The Trophy awarded to Technomarine watches acknowledges the campaigns creativity and cool appeal as well as the adverts high quality production values.
