Throughout much of the brands existence, Swatch watches have always been at the forefront of extreme sports and it looks like 2012 will be no exception.
To celebrate the birth of the New Year US Cable TV Network ESPN will be presenting live coverage of a spectacular stunt by FMX rider and Swatch Watches aficionado Robbie Maddison.
This year Maddison and fellow rider Levi LaVallee will be attempting to jump a 300-foot water gap at Embarcadero Marina Park on San Diego Bay. Maddison will use his motorbike whilst La Vallee will attempt the jump on a snowmobile. The event marks the latest installment of Red Bull: New Year. No Limits.
Swatch Watches fan Maddison is an accomplished freestyle motocross rider, who holds an X Games silver medal for Best Trick in the Moto X event and two wins on the Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour.
He also has a successful history of record-breaking achievements and globally captivating feats. Among them are back flipping across the Tower Bridge in London and jumping across the Corinth Canal in Greece.
