Popular fashion designer Michael Kors has been honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award at a recent prestigious awards ceremony.

Kors, whose output includes his much desired watches, received the award from the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) at their annual Fashion Awards.

The ceremony, which took place on June 7 in New York, honours the industry's most accomplished individuals. In Kors's case, the accolade is even more of a surprise as he is the youngest ever designer to be awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Kors has received honours from CFDA twice before: in 1999, he won the Womenswear Designer of the Year and, in 2003, won the same award for Menswear.
