The Android operating system is becoming a key part of the mobile phone world, but it has now spread from the handset to the wrist. The Tokyo-based company Casio Watches has designed a new item for its G-Shock watches range with the upcoming US launch of a touch screen smart phone.
As you would expect from a company renowned for its hardwearing and shock resistant watches, the new mobile is far from run of the mill.
Unveiled at the massive Las Vegas Computer Electronics Show 2012 a few weeks ago, the phone from G-Shock watches is splash proof with water resistance measured to 1.0 Bar. It can also withstand a 10-foot drop, and can hold up a full ton of weight without shattering its sensitive touch screen.
Made from the same tough resin and metal case back as found on the popular brand of watches we are certain that the new watch will become popular with fans of the brand. It also features all the standard tools found on mobile phones including a camera with flash. The unique design will certainly help it stand out from the masses.
