Tennis favourite and Citizen Watches ambassador Kim Clijsters rallied her way to victory over Serbian Ana Ivanovic in the a three set match to reach the quarter finals at the WTA Brisbane International 2012.

The Belgian number one required just 1 hour and 18 to overcome the unseeded player. Clijsters,is in Australia to prepare for the defence of her Australian Open title later this month.

The year opening event marks a return to form for Clijsters. The Citizen Watches ambassador last competed in Toronto in August but left the Rogers Cup tournament due to injury when she suffered a partial tear in a stomach muscle. The Citizen Watches ambassdor also suffered from a foot injury earlier in the year that forced her to miss the Wimbledon tournament.

Clijsters will next meet the winner of the second-round match between U.S. Open champion Sam Stosur and Iveta Benesova.
