Pop star Ke$ha has urged parents to be open with their kids about cancer as part of a new health campaign backed by the Casio Watches ambassador.
The ‘TiK ToK’ singer and lover of baby G watches stars in a specially filmed video for FCancer, an organisation that aims to put an end to the late diagnosis of the dreaded disease.
The campaign is a movement that asks people in their teens and twenties to talk with their parents about the early detection of cancer. More than 90% of cancers are curable if caught in stage one- The Canadian charity has set about creating a generation of early detection ambassadors who, by learning about what to do to stay healthy, what to watch out for are taking control of their own health and the health of their parents.
In the video, Casio Watches ambassador Ke$ha encourages families to discuss the condition, so that kids will understand the signs and be able to detect it early, according to reports in the music press.
Actresses Sophia Bush and Adrian Grenier have also filmed clips for the campaign.
