ABOUT CASIO WATCHES
Casio Computer Co. Ltd. is one of the leading consumer electronics companies in the world. Since its establishment in 1957, Casio has been active in the development of a wide range of electronic goods, including Casio watches, all the while guided by its motto: ‘Creativity and Contribution'.
Since 1974, Casio has been at the forefront of pioneering watch technology, with the first electronic Casio watch being a water resistant model that was simple in appearance. Following on from this early development, Casio has led the way with a number of revolutionary advancements: they were one of the first watch companies to manufacture quartz crystal watches, developed one of the first radio controlled watches, and were the first ever company to produce a watch with a built in calculator.
From 2000 onwards, Casio has introduced more gadgets to their watch range, including Casio watches featuring MP3 players and even Casio watches with digital cameras. Casio watches utilise both analogue and digital watches, providing a wide choice of watch faces and designs.
Some of the Casio collection's most advanced technology watches are detailed below.
Casio ‘Wave Ceptor' Watches
‘Wave Ceptor' Casio watches incorporate a time calibration antenna, which coordinates the precise time and date directly via signals calculated by atomic clocks, the most precise timekeepers in the world. Such advanced technology ensures absolute accuracy, to the second, and also allows for automatic adjustments for daylight savings and local times.
Select Casio watch models in this range also incorporate a 5 motor system, which allows Wave Ceptor watches to combine a traditional analogue look with atomic technology.
‘G-Shock' Casio Watches
When Casio launched the shock-resistant ‘G-Shock' watch in 1983, it shattered the notion that watches were fragile accessories that needed to be handled with care. Casio are now one of the leading manufacturers of shock-resistant watches, with the Casio ‘G-Shock' watch range continuing to employ the latest technology to ensure its watches remain completely unaffected by strong impacts or shaking.
Utilising triple-protection design for the parts, module and case, Casio ‘G-Shock' watches are ‘all-around tough' and water resistant up to 200m. New strides forward, including solar power and radio-controlled technology, and materials that offer increased durability have made the ‘G Shock' even tougher and more functional.
Offering practicality and a unique look that embodies its purpose, the ‘G Shock' collection is now one of Casio's flagship models. The ‘Baby G' range provides the same features but in a smaller package for both women and children.
Casio Sport
Casio sports watches provide a range of chronograph sports watches ideal for athletes and sports lovers everywhere.
With models providing perfect timing and utilising Triple Sensor technology, ‘Protek' are ideal watches for running and other outdoor activities. Meanwhile, ‘Sea Pathfinder' Casio watches are the perfect tools for use on the waves thanks to an array of functions including digital compass, depth gauge, barometer and thermometer.
