Historical Development of Breil Watches
Breil watches were originally based on the shores of Lake Maggiore, on the Swiss/Italian border under the watchful eye of Innocente Binda. Breil watches have been a master watchmaker since 1906, with Innocente Binda aspiring to combine Swiss technical excellence with the still unrivalled Italian aesthetic. The founder of Breil watches moved to the fashion capital of Milan in 1930 - bringing them a step nearer to their goal, and in 1937, Breil watches as a brand was launched.
Watches by Breil boast a hybrid of quality engineering with a high fashion twist, and it was these features that bought the Breil watch brand an immediate cult following. However, it was not until the accession in 1995 of Marcello and Simone, grandsons of Innocente Binda, that the Breil watches brand really took off.
Breil watches were in a perfect position to capitalise on the changing face of the watch industry. The Swiss timepiece, although renowned for its accuracy, lacked the polish of the burgeoning fashion pack that was demanded, whilst fashion houses often produced watches of inferior quality. It was here that Breil watches wholly succeeded.
Slogan of Breil Watches: ‘Take Anything But My Breil'
The Breil watches advertising campaign that hit Italy the summer of 1995 was based on the headline: ‘Take Anything But My Breil'. This featured large Breil watches modelled on ‘Super Models' that would normally only be worn by men. The unisex soul of the collection embodies the Breil watches brand character and values: strength and sensuality.
The styling of Breil Watches is undeniably modern and Italian - chunky yet sleek, with a whole range of features on many Breil watch models including: chronographs, dual time, and water resistance to a variety of depths. Citizen watches similarly offer an array of functions teamed with outstanding design as with Gents Breil watches.
