Skagen Designs, Ltd. was founded by Henrik and Charlotte Jorst in 1989, following the couple’s move from their native Denmark to the U.S. It wasn’t long before Skagen watches were established as unique alongside other watches on the market, with the Jorsts’ designs taking inspiration from their homeland and imbuing them with a Danish spirit.

Skagen is a little village situated on the northern coast of Denmark. The Jorsts are not the first to be inspired by the place, with artists flocking to the Skagen’s stretch of white sandy beaches for years before to take in its magnificent sunrises and sunsets. Today, the small coastal village remains the primary inspiration behind Skagen watches, helping to shape watches that showcase a natural purity and elegance.

The Skagen watches collection features designs for both ladies and gents, combining the Copenhagen couple’s artistic inspiration with skilful craftsmanship and technical perfection. Materials used are high quality, ranging from mesh, ceramic, leather and stainless steel, while some ladies models feature sparkling Swarovski crystal elements.
